Bad Poetry

The Sun, the Grass
The sun rose ooh the sun rose.  The sun set ooh the sun set.
The grass how soft the grass is when the sun is up.
Playing tag on the grass the soft grass, ooh.
Now I’m in class holding brass and drinking out of a water glass.
Now I’m looking at the sun eating a hot dog bun holding a gun, ooh the grass.
Now it’s the sun ooh how fun the sun is.  I want to run, no not shun.
The grass blows in the wind like my bros that froze and pokes his nose.
It smells so good just like Robin Hood.  Smell, ooh the smell.
The sun rose ooh the sun rose.  Then set.

Direct Orders

Rock out like you just won American Idol.  Like you just won a million dollars.  Rock out like your dancing on stage with Michael Jackson.  Like your football team just won the playoffs.  Rock out like your favorite song comes on the radio.  Like the shoes you wanted just went on sale and theirs only one more pair left waiting for you.  Rock out like you just won tickets and a backstage pass to your all time favorite band.  Rock out like you got straight A’s this semester and perfect attendance.  Like the guy you like just asked you to prom. Rock out like you just got a bonus from work.  Rock out like you just got accepted to the collage you’ve dreamed of going to all of your life.  Rock out like you just graduated from preschool, from kindergarten, from elementary school, from junior high school, from high school, from collage!  Rock out like you’re on the price is right.  Like there’s no school on Monday and it’s a Friday night.  Rock out like school just got out for the summer.  ROCK OUT!

Shake the dust

This is for all the people who aren’t good at writing. For the person who eats alone at lunch.  For the people who fall asleep during school.  For the people struggling through life.  For the immature people.  Shake the dust. This is for all the poor people. For all the rich people.  For all the sinners.  Shake the dust.  This is for the people who can’t dance.  For all the blind people.  For all the deaf people.  Shake the dust.  This is for the people who don’t like TV.  For the people who love reading.  Shake the dust.  This is for all of the celebrities.  For all the people who bombed the ACT.  For the people who aren’t very good at cooking.  Shake the dust.  This is for the people who get really home sick.  For the people who don’t have many friends. For the people who are scared of being lonely.  Shake the dust.

I'm thinking about you

I'm thinking about you. I'm thinking about you like socks think about shoes. Like an alcoholic thinks about booze. Like a jazz player thinks about blues. I'm thinking about you like shampoo thinks about hair. Like life thinks about air.  Like peaches thinks about pears. I'm thinking about you like eyes think about seeing. like bees think about stinging. Like musicians think about singing. I'm thinking about you like cars think about fuel. Like girls think about jewels. I'm thinking about you like lawn mowers thinks about grass. Like gold thinks about brass.  Like students think about class.  I'm thinking about you.

To start out

To start out; I have had Mr. Nelson befor in tenth grade and really liked his class. I saw that he was teaching creative writing and have herd from friends that it was a really good class so I thought I would take it. I also hope to learn how to become a better writer because sometimes writing can be hard for me.
